Welcome to Bull Hollow Lodge. Newly acquired in the fall of 2019, this is the 4th Lodge in the Barr Top Rentals fleet. This is one of the best areas in the PA Elk range to see lots of quality bulls on a regular basis. We also own Spring View lodge 1/2 mile up the road and this is the 3rd year in a row that the bulls arrive in October and stay until the following summer. This Lodge is named for what we saw when we first went to look at this property, a yard full of Bull Elk. It hasn't disappointed us since. We never make guarantees when it comes to seeing wildlife but this location has been a gem for seeing elk without having to leave the living room. This Lodge is quiet and secluded and boasts all the amenities of home. Located on Spring Run Road in Elk County, visitors will have easy access to the Benezette Visitors Center, local wineries and much more. The more spacious back porch overlooks a fire pit area where guests can use the custom-built cooking surround to grill their favorite foods over the open fire or just relax and toast a marshmallow. Elk regularly visit the property to graze in the yard, or look for apples on the tree only 20 yards from the windows in the dining and kitchen areas. The former occupants told us stories of how "Fred," the former Benezette town bull, used to sit just under two bedroom windows regularly! So don’t be surprised if you see an elk staring in your bedroom window when you wake up! The Elk Grove has a full kitchen equipped with a propane cooktop and double ovens, a full refrigerator and freezer, and a microwave. The eat-in kitchen has table seating for four, where guests can sit with their morning coffee or evening glass of wine and watch the elk come into the yard to graze on the grass or search for apples. The living room has enough seating for the entire family and includes a comfortable sectional sofa, recliner, and rocking chair, as well as a flat screen television with Dish Network. The upstairs bathroom features a tub/shower, toilet, and vanity illuminated by custom tin lighting that accents the mountain wildlife themed room. There are three generously sized bedrooms upstairs, two with queen sized beds, and the other with a king. There is plush carpeting throughout the living room and bedroom areas. Each bedroom has ample closet space for longer stays, as well. There is also a large hall closet to collect the family's coats during those colder months in Pennsylvania. There are a washer and dryer located in the finished basement available for tenant use. The basement is carpeted, with a full bathroom including a toilet, sink, and stand-up shower. The yard is roughly 2 acres and provides plenty of space for the kids to run around. Camp Critter is a 20 minute drive from the Benezette Visitors Center and walking distance from the Hicks Run Viewing Area. The cabin sits on Hicks Run, a stocked trout stream accessible from the back yard. If hunting or hiking is your intent, the cabin is just minutes away from State Gamelands and the Elk State Forest. In light of recent concerns surrounding the CoronaVirus, we want to emphasize that cleanliness is our highest priority. We have a Leave it Like you Found it Cleaning Policy (Please refer to the rental agreement for details). However, we do employ a cleaning service and our cabins are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly after each guest checkout. This has been our practice since 2016 when we began our vacation rental venture. Additionally, we make available a variety of disinfecting products that our guests are welcome to use, free of charge. These supplies include disinfecting wipes, disinfecting spray, laundry detergent (for our lodges equipped with washer and dryer) and hand sanitizers (when they are available). Other supplies that are always available include toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap and a variety of general cleaning supplies. We were lucky enough to have stocked up on our cleaning products prior to Covid, which allows us to offer our guests a much more thorough cleaning. To ensure your safety, our cleaning lady will be disinfecting all hard surfaces, including light switches, door knobs, and chairs. All of this extra cleaning takes significantly more time, so we are adjusting our check out and in times for stays that are back to back with another guest. Our check out time will remain at 10 am. If guests are checking in at the same day as another guest checks out, check in time will not be until 5 pm. Please understand no exceptions will be made to this policy to ensure the safety of our guests and our cleaning lady. We need to keep you healthy in order to keep our business up and running! Our updated home sits right on Treasure Lake and allows for plenty of waterfront activities! Boat, Kayak, Jetski, Swim, right in your backyard! With 4 bedrooms, this home can accomodate large families and groups. LINENS AND TOWELS NOW PROVIDED! The home is split level and includes everything you need to be cozy and enjoy your time, no matter what the season. The lower level has a large bedroom with queen size bed and a sofa in the corner. There is 1/2 bath on this level. It looks right out onto the lake and will be the last thing you see at night and the first thing you see in the morning! You can also sit on the lower deck/porch and enjoy the lake until the wee hours by the firepit! Also on this level is a bar area and a laundry room with washer and dryer. On the upper level is a large, open floor plan living room/dining room and kitchen. There is plenty of seating on the brand new leather furniture or giant dining/kitchen table that seats 8. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook at home if you decide not to visit The Lodge right up the street or Duffer's, the neighborhood tavern (that serves aMAZing Big Mac fries!). Also on this level is a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath, a 3rd bedroom with a twin size bed (and a blow up queen mattress if needed), a 4th bedroom with 4 bunks (!) and its own full bathroom.
